(WMC-TV) - Shelby County Schools and Memphis City Schools officially merged into one district Monday.

Unified school district leaders and employees still have a lot of work to do before students enter the classrooms on August 5, but there are some logistical changes already in effect, including a shared website.

Both Shelby County Schools and Memphis City Schools will now begin using the same website: http://www.scsk12.org/

​

And if you are wondering about the district's logo, you will see the current SCS logo in place.

​

Additional changes will be noticed on the first day of school, but the merger is now well in effect.

​

The unified school district is now Tennessee's largest school system and the 14th largest district in the country.
