The George Washington Carver Class of ‘65

 

Special Program

 

The School Liaison Committee met with Dr. James Suggs, Principal of George Washington Carver College & Career Academy (GWCCCA), on Friday, January 24, 2020.

 

We are pleased to announce that he has accepted and approved our proposal to create a Special Program for the female and male Student of the Month.

 

The plan being offered by The Carver Class of ’65 is designed to work in conjunction with GWCCCA’s Student of the Month (SOTM) announcement.  It awards each SOTM student (one girl and one boy) a prize of $50.00.

 

The selected students will be honored and receive their reward at a ceremony on the first Monday of each month of the school year.

 

The next presentation is on Monday, February 3rd at 10:00 AM.

 

We are extending an invitation to all Carver Class of ’65 members in the area to be at this first ceremony.

 

Please plan to attend.

 

This is our latest project with GWCCCA and the first major endeavor since the Wiley College concerts and the Scholarship Program. Those projects came to an end with the closure of our alma mater, George Washington Carver High School.
